🎉 Meet Mrs. Karen Jackson — Our New Preschool/Junior Kindergarten Teacher! 🎉
Mrs. Karen Jackson grew up on a farm between Cottonwood and Marshall, MN. She chose Estelline for its close-knit, supportive school community and welcoming staff.
This will be her 20th year in education. She began teaching special education preschool in Minnesota, then stayed home to raise her three children while running a home daycare, preschool, and substitute teaching. After moving near Woonsocket, she taught preschool for 17 years with the Woonsocket School District and Head Start.
Recently, she and her husband moved closer to their grown children—Daniel (Stacia and granddaughter Freya), Joseph, and Alicia (Zach Ries). She was teaching Family and Consumer Science and served as FCCLA advisor in Elkton. She also has experience teaching driver’s education, elementary art, and running art workshops and camps.
Now she settled into their remodeled home outside of White, she’s excited to return to her passion—teaching preschool/junior kindergarten—and looks forward to meeting the students and families of Estelline.
Please help us welcome Mrs. Jackson to the Redhawk family—we're lucky to have her!

🎉Meet Mr. William Campbell — Our New High School Social Studies Teacher! 🎉
Mr. Campbell brings a unique "Midwest trifecta" background to Estelline! Born in downtown St. Paul, MN, raised in Hudson, WI, and growing up through adulthood in Brandon, SD.
He’ll be teaching High School Social Studies, and he’s passionate about creating a classroom where curiosity thrives. One of his guiding quotes is: “Be curious, not judgmental.” His goal is to build a space where students feel safe to ask questions, explore different perspectives, and better understand the world around them. He says, “At the end of the day, the best thing we can do is ask for help and accept it. If you keep doing that, you’ll always be moving toward better.”
So, why Estelline? Mr. Campbell says it’s the kind of place where real relationships form—where teachers cheer for students at Friday night games, get to know families, and become part of the heartbeat of the community. “It’s got heart,” he says, “kind of like a pan of hot, fresh cookies right out of the oven—comforting, simple, and exactly what you need to feel at home.”
As for what he’s most looking forward to? “Getting to know my students—not just their names, but what motivates them, what excites them, what lights that spark. There’s something powerful about seeing that lightbulb moment, like when a sunflower finds the sun.”

🎉Another Redhawk added to the team! 🎉Jeff Schneider will be joining us as the new high school science teacher.
He's from South Dakota, born while both his parents taught in Elkton; his dad later served as principal and superintendent in Scotland, where he graduated high school. He earned his BS from SDSU and, after 22 years teaching science, returned to teach in the College of Education. His roots in South Dakota education run deep.
He'll be teaching high school science and his experience ranges from K-12 PE and high school Computer Science, to teaching all high school science subjects in small schools like Armour (14 years) including hands-on STEM, robotics, and inquiry-based learning.
He chose Estelline for its strong community, dedicated staff, and authentic student-centered approach, which he saw firsthand during his interview and as a basketball official. Being from the area, he appreciates Estelline’s values—they align perfectly with his. He also wanted to be closer to family after being a PD provider in Ohio for the last six years.
He's excited to build genuine connections with students, families, and staff, and to create a science classroom that feels like a “living lab,” where curiosity and creativity drive learning. He loves seeing students experience those “aha” moments, and he's eager to be part of that here at Estelline.
Welcome Jeff, we are happy to have you! ❤️🖤

🎉Please join us in giving a warm Redhawk welcome to one of our newest team members, Cara Muckridge, who will be joining us as the Kindergarten teacher and Student Council advisor. 🎉
She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood/Special Education from Northern State University. Over the past 12 years, she has taught 3rd grade, kindergarten, and preschool/early intervention at the Newell School District, while also serving in various leadership roles including Technology Coordinator, Director of Student Support, and Assessment Coordinator for the past five years. She has also coached track and volleyball for the last 11 years, which has been a rewarding way to connect with students outside of academics.
She is thrilled to be returning to the classroom as a kindergarten teacher and to serve as the high school Student Council Advisor. She chose Estelline for its welcoming small-town atmosphere and to be closer to her family. She has heard wonderful things about the district and community, and looking forward to getting started!
Let's make Cara feel right at home in Estelline! ❤️🖤We are excited to have you!
